Fast start to '09 recruiting

With yesterday's triple commitment of three defensive linemen from Maud-- inevitably the "Maud Squad"-- TCU ups its '09 class to eight* commits before the '08 school year ends. The trio from Maud, a 1A school with less than 200 students, had previously committed to Tulsa.

Five of TCU's eight '09 recruits are linemen; the sixth is a four-star wide receiver, A. J. Dugat, the seventh a four-star QB, Casey Pachall, and the eighth is Jurrell Thompson, a four-star safety/runningback.

Waymon James, a barrell runningback, has joined the rush.

Jurrell Thompson's commitment caught ESPN's attention.
